We just got back from Ireland, it was such an amazing trip. The people there are so warm and welcoming it made me not want to leave. Driving on the opposite side of the road was hard to get use to, and the roads were so tiny making it even more interesting. The country side was so green and lush I swear I thought at any moment a leprechaun was going to pop out from behind a hedge. On more than one occasion I had to exercise great force and not chase down a rainbow in search of a pot of gold. Here are a few of my favorite photos from our trip, I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

17 Mar

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! A fun fact about this day that I read on Wikipedia is that “originally the colour associated with Saint Patrick was blue.  Over the years the colour green and its association with Saint Patrick’s day grew. Green ribbons and shamrocks were worn in celebration of St Patrick’s Day as early as the 17th century. Saint Patrick is said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagan Irish, and the wearing and display of shamrocks and shamrock-inspired designs have become a ubiquitous feature of the day. In the 1798 rebellion, to make a political statement, Irish soldiers wore full green uniforms on 17 March in hopes of catching public attention.” I may just wear blue and say I am authentic! I hope everyone has the luck of the Irish with them today!
