The Traveling Elefant

“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” —  Saint Augustine

I couldn’t agree more with that quote and it’s one of my favorites. Here are a few snap shots of places I have been lucky enough to visit.

Honeymoon: This past July we went to Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia for our honeymoon. Venice and Dubrovnik were our all time favorites from the trip. We were so lucky to be in Venice during the Festa Del Redentore, that is held every JulyThe city was packed with people from all over the world to come and celebrate and watch the amazing fireworks show.

Paris: Everything about Paris was beautiful, the food was fabulous and the architecture is amazing. I was there for work and only had one day to enjoy Paris and one day in Versailles and that was not nearly enough time to truly explore. This is a city that I will be making my way back to.

Martha’s Vineyard: Quintessential New England seaside town, is the best way to describe this place. The original black dog calls this island home. We ate lunch there and saw two black labs taking a dip in the ocean! For us it was just a day trip, and is a really fun place to visit in the summer.

Egypt: The history was so rich in Egypt. I will never forget when we pulled up to the pyramids and seeing such an ancient history monument, it was amazing.

Ireland: It truly is a magical country. The people were so friendly they made you feel like you were coming home. It was a short flight from Boston so made it easy for us to travel to. We did a castle tour and stayed in castles turned hotels which was a lot of fun. The country was green and lush I swear there were 100 shades of green.

Glacier National Park and Canadian Rockies: I am a water girl myself, I find nothing more peaceful than sitting on the beach listening to the waves. Growing up in the Northeast we have our mountains if you can even call them that. Seeing the mountains out west were truly breathtaking. They are so gigantic that they put your life in a little perspective.
